Teac on February 2 (in the US) announced the launch of external 1-inch portable USB 2.0 hard disk drives in 4GB and 8GB capacities.
"With continued growth in Digital Video and Still Cameras, users continue to demand more storage space in a more portable and mobile format that is easier to move around and lighter to carry. Teac's new 1-inch line of slim portable hard disk drives, available in 4GB and 8GB capacities, provide the best solution to our customers," says Les Luzar, Director, Sales and Marketing, Data Storage Products Division, Teac America. "Teac's line of slim HDDs are plug and play, and no external power source is required. The drives are bus-powered to be truly mobile and portable."
The new hard drives join Teac's existing line up of USB 2.0 2.5-inch external hard drives in 40GB, 60GB, 80GB and 100GB capacities; USB 2.0 and USB 2.0/Firewire combo 3.5-inch 40GB, 80GB, 120GB, 160GB, 200GB, 250GB, 300GB and 400GB external drives; and 1.8" slim external hard drives in 20GB, 40GB and 60GB capacities.
