Hewlett Packard (HP) yesterday started to market dual-core Napa notebooks in the Taiwan market, aiming to boost its market share by replacing all of its Sonoma-based notebooks with Napa models by the end of June, said Dennis Chen, general manager of HP Taiwan’s personal systems group.
Initially, three HP dual-core Napa notebooks, which are based on current models, including the Presario 2600 and Pavilion dv1600, will be available at prices ranging from NT$44,900 to NT$59,900 (US$1,390-1,854), according to company sources.
The company plans to introduce completely new dual-core Napa notebooks into the local market soon, with business-use models to be available in April and home-use models to come in July, Chen said.
