United Microelectronics Corp. sales in February increased more than 22 percent year-to-year, but declined more than 10 percent sequentially, the company said.
UMC posted revenue of NT$7.5 billion (about $231 million) for February, up from NT$6.1 billion in February 2005, but down from NT$8.4 billion in January, the company said.
UMC's total sales for the first two months of the year were more than NT$15.9 billion (about $490 billion), an increase of 20 percent from the first two months of 2005, the company said.
