Micron Technology Inc. and Rambus Inc. separately won minor legal victories this week.
The Federal District Court for the District of Delaware issued two rulings regarding where certain patent and other related disputes between Rambus and Micron are to be decided.
In its first ruling, the court granted a motion by Rambus and issued an injunction against Micron's further prosecution of a newly-filed Virginia lawsuit against Rambus, according to Rambus.
The Delaware court ruled that Micron's allegations could not be pursued in Virginia given the overlap of those allegations with a prior Delaware action filed in August 2000 by Micron.
In its second ruling, the Delaware court denied a motion by Rambus seeking to transfer the pending Delaware case to California. Neither ruling affects other pending patent or antitrust cases in California by Rambus against Micron.
