Unsurprisingly, Rambus Inc. has named an Intel Corp. veteran as its CFO.
Company CEO Harold Hughes, who came to Rambus from Intel in January 2005, has been wearing the CFO hat since March when Robert K. Eulau, VP and CFO, resigned to pursue another opportunity.
Hughes had tipped off the industry that he would be looking to fill the spot ASAP and most likely with someone from his alma mater. Today Hughes named Satish Rishi as senior VP and CFO of the Los Altos, Calif.-based company.
“Satish is a seasoned finance executive in the semiconductor space, and we are pleased to have him join our management team,” Hughes in a said statement. “Satish and I worked together in the past, and his extensive experience will contribute to our continued growth and financial strength.”
Immediately prior to his appointment at Rambus, Rishi held the position of executive VP of finance and CFO of Toppan Photomasks Inc. During his 20-year career, Rishi also served as VP and assistant treasurer at Dell Inc. Before Dell, Rishi spent 13 years at Intel, where he held financial management positions, both in the United States and overseas. The last position he held at Intel was assistant treasurer.
