Samsung Electronics expects prices in dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chips to drop in the third quarter after a mild rise in the second quarter, an executive at the world's largest memory chip maker said on Friday.
"Both (DRAM and NAND) will behave similarly and we expect a high-single-digit percent drop in prices," said Kim Il-ung, senior vice president of Samsung's semiconductor division.
The average selling price for DRAMs rose 2 percent in the April-June quarter from three months earlier, Samsung said
