A U.S. judge tossed out a $307 million patent infringement award to Rambus Inc. in its suit against Hynix Semiconductor Inc., according to Reuters.
Judge Ronald Whyte of the Northern District of California offered Rambus some $133.6 million in the suit, according to the report. The judge agreed with South Korea's Hynix that the previous award was excessive, according to the report.
Rambus has 30 days to accept the lower amount or the case will move to a new trial, according to Bloomberg.
