Sun Microsystems and Unisys have filed suit against chip maker Hynix Semiconductor seeking damages from Hynix's participation in DRAM price fixing..
The suit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, also targets Mosel Vitelic, Nanya, Winbond, Elpida, Mitsubishi, and Infineon, according to reports.
Sun and Unisys also named Micron Technology Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. as co-conspirators in the suit.
Hynix is one of four companies that have pled guilty to DRAM price fixing in the late 1990s and early part of this decade as the result of a probe by the U.S. Justice Department. Last year, Hynix agreed to pay a $185 million fine.
