Jabil Circuit Inc., an electronics contract manufacturer, said Wednesday its fiscal first-quarter revenue rose 34 percent from a year earlier to $3.2 billion.
The company also said it expected revenue for its second quarter to be between $2.75 and $2.85 billion, with revenue growth for fiscal 2007 coming in at about 20 percent over the previous year.
Analysts had been expecting revenue of $3.17 billion for Jabil's first fiscal quarter that ended Nov. 30.
The St. Petersburg, Fla.-based company said that it will record cash costs of $150 million to $200 million over the next two fiscal years for a previously announced realignment of manufacturing capacity.
