After announcing its 2006 profits triple, Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC) said it is confidence over the memory outlook in 2007 and projects earnings to grow further.
PSC's fourth quarter revenues grew by 29% on quarter at NT$33.02 billion (US$1 billion) with profit of NT$15.33 billion.
Operating margins grow by 12.9 percentage points to 43.1% in the fourth quarter, Goldman Sachs comments that the rate is "impressive" in comparison to Micron Technology's 7% (November 2006 quarter) and Samsung Electronics' estimated 40%.
