And recent reports suggest that it may have been even more nefarious than we realized, saying that Garmin was forced to pay a multi-million-dollar ransom to get its files back.

U.S. trade deficit fell 7.5% in June |

The Commerce Department said Wednesday that the gap between the value of what the United States buys and what it sells abroad fell 7.5% to $50.7 billion in June from $54.8 billion in May. Exports shot up an unprecedented 9.4% to $158.3 billion. Imports rose 4.7% to $208.9 billion.

DRAM shipment growth is projected to be flat q-q. Of note, hyperscalers’ data center investment concentrated on 1H20 due to a surge in non-face-to-face traffic amid the Covid-19 crisis. Therefore, as memory inventory levels at hyperscalers will likely exceed the appropriate amounts in 2H20, data center investment is expected to decline h-h.

US PMI notching a third consecutive month of economic growth |

The July PMI registered 54.2 percent, up 1.6 percentage points from the June reading of 52.6 percent. This figure indicates expansion in the overall economy for the third month in a row after a contraction in April, which ended a period of 131 consecutive months of growth.
