Active noise cancellation (ANC) works by measuring the waveform of the unwanted sound and generating an equivalent inverted signal. This signal is then transmitted alongside the original. The two waveforms, being inverted images of each other, combine and are weakened by the effect of phase cancellation. This, then, reduces the amplitude of the original signal and thereby reduces the volume of the unwanted noise.”

MediaTek expects Q1 sales to fall over 6% |

At an investor conference Friday, MediaTek said it posted NT$118.14 billion (US$3.95 billion) in net profit last year, a 6 percent increase compared with 2021, as well as record high consolidated sales of NT$548.80 billion, an 11.2 percent year-over-year increase.
