Sun Micro combines Storage with Server group |

Sun is laying off scores of workers, including some of its storage people, according to channel sources. Among the layoffs are 108 people in its Broomfield, Colo. campus and 21 people in its Louisville campus. The two campuses are scheduled to be combined into a single campus in Broomfield by December of 2008.

Micron announces loss |

For the 2007 fiscal year, the company incurred a net loss of $320 million, or minus $0.42 per diluted share, on net sales of $5.7 billion. This compares to net income of $408 million, or $0.57 per diluted share, on net sales of $5.3 billion for the prior fiscal year.
