Micron president to step down 1/27/2012
Mark W. Adams, vice president of worldwide sales at Micron (Boise, Idaho) will succeed Durcan as president and COO following Durcan's retirement, Micron said. Adams was previously COO at Lexar Media Inc. until Lexar was acquired by Micron in June 2006. He was appointed vice president of worldwide sales at Micron in June 2008.
Intel acquired software and number of patents from RealNetworks 1/27/2012
Intel will receive about 190 patents and 170 patent applications, as well as next-generation software that allows the quick compression or decompression of video for streaming.
